We all love these cars,but nothing is perfect.We have an obligation to get on lexuses case.The parts prices are rape and pillage.The displays going black are substandered. I just finished a long conversation with a lexus customer service rep.I told her what I thought of the runious parts prices,I also told her about the too high percentage of owners that were having there panels go blank.On the parts prices she said that she would forward my comments.on the panels going blank,she said they were handling that on a case by case basis.Everyone of you members owe it to all lexus owners to contact lexus and raise hell.If you are happy being a sheep say nothing.

The first time I went in to buy a GS pollen air filter the price was over $50 with tax. Just the other day I bought one from the very same dealer for $37 plus tax.

I still intend to use my home depot "specials", but wanted to compare airflow restriction with the home brew vs Lexus.

Not that I don't agree some of the prices are high (stock pads $100 vs. EBC pads for $85, I bought the EBC's) but when I bought a car that is 50k I guess I expected the prices to be high, if I wanted real low prices and cheap parts, I guess I would have bought a Lincoln LS.

The first two I bought, one was for the GS and one was for the RX, the new, recent, one was for the RX, I sold the GS3. I suppose the original RX pollen filter could have been $37 and the GS the difference but that would make one damn expensive GS pollen filter.

Yes, their prices are high...I would love to see lower prices...that way, my hook up price will be even lower!

Some of the parts are actually cheaper than I original thought it would be...like the '97 tail lights for the SC...under $200 each from Steve Ganz...I figured it would be $500 each or something...

Dying Needles and Panels MUST be address though...they should offer some sort of fix for the needles at least since that seems to be a big problem across the board with older Lexos...I'm going to give them a call....

JPA.When I am talking about high parts prices,My comparison Is the many Mercedes I have owned.If I remember My SL was over 60k when new.Many of these Lexus parts prices are two high.A key for over two hundred dollars.Im glad to see from one of the post,that parts may be going down some.

rybikowsky- Don't get me wrong, I agree the part's are high, no question about it. I am just saying when I bought a Lexus, Benz or anything else I expected parts to be pricey as well as the service done at the dealer. That is the game they play.
