Default Fuel Pump Relay 91

So here it is all..... Went to start the car this morning and it was TOTALY DEAD, the auto tilt didnt even move. So after jumping the car which has a 1 month old battery and then turning the car off again I could hear something running in the engine bay. Opened the trunk and could hear the fuel pump running also!

I did some searching and have seen some people have had this problem but couldn't really find a rock soild answer. So it's the weekend and right now everytime im not driving the car I have to pull the fuel pump relay to get it to stop so it wont drain the battery

Any ideas?

Well Just an update I found a relay online was only $8.00 from toyota it's 83.00. So I bought it just to try and no dice. Anyways just got my new Denso fuel pump and filter today FYI you can get these ordered at Autozone about 200 less that from Toyota. I will be replacing this weekend and will let ya'll know if that fixed the problem.

What was it that was running in the engine bay? Did you check the fuel relay resistor out?

You could hear the whole fuel system running the fuel pressure regulator valve in the engine bay was making noise. I Plan to check it but have no idea where it is other that somewhere near the relay.

It's right below the fuel pump relay box, bolted to the passenger wheel well...

Jim thanks for the info, it's not looking to good so I just ordered a new resistor from Sewell.. 47.00 plus shipping with a CL account. I will let ya know if this fixes it and will hold off on the fuel pump until I have tried this.
