Alright so I hammered them well with a hammer and I can move them around pretty good, however, they just won't come off. Is there an adjustment somewhere for the parking brake? Any ideas??

u removed the screws that holds the rotor to the hub?

Yes I have. The rotors wouldn't be moving out towards me if I hadn't. I can only assume something inside is holding the rotors on. Possibly the parking brake (which I never use, but I've only had the car a year).

hmmmm thats odd nothing should be holding the rotor. so you disassembled the caliper itself and removed it and the bracket thats also holding the caliper correct.

Yeah, I followed that, like when I did my fronts a few months ago. As he said, the rears would be hard to remove. There were rusted in place but I broke them free and I can slide them out about half an inch to an inch, but then they get stuck again.

haha dang thats intense all i can say is keep pounding away or use a pry bar but there shouldnt be anythin holding the rotor back to tell you the truth

Yeah it sucks!! I have to find the adjustment for the parking brake. Its all that I can see it being.

Ok I got them off. The parking brake was what was keeping the rotors on.

As I finally got the drivers side rear rotor off something with the parking brake mechanism snapped and everything was loose.

I really don't have time or money to be fixing this now so i just disassembled the entire mechanism. I never use the parking brake anyway.

i had this problem as well. it was just a matter of hammering at it and pulling it straight (vs. at an agle).

There are several threaded holes on the rear rotors. You can insert an appropriately sized screw into these and tighten it. This will seperate the rotor from the brake mechanism and hub underneath. I think that these were designed into the rotor the type of issues you described.

^this works the best, forgot about those lol. use an 8mm bolt+socket (screws will strip, ask me how i know )

you can use the method i described in this ancient thread if you arent sure which holes we're talking about. same or the front vs. rears.
