Default 95 LS400: Strange problem with brakes (difficult to describe)

Hello,

It's been a while that I've been having this squeaking problem with my rear brake system (I also have the red brake light lighting up on my dash). Today, I decided to lift the rear end up and try to let the car idle in drive. The driver's rear wheel spun freely, but the pass. rear wheel only seemed to spin once I gave it gas and a heavy groaning with the skid (traction control active) light came on (flashing, but only once it gave it gas). I thought it might have been my ABS sensor going haywire but I have no ABS light lighting up on my dash. I cleaned the discs with brake cleaner and then I had another go. Same problem. I put the rear end down and took it for a test drive around the block and a new problem occurred. The skid (traction control active) didn't light up but the red brake light was still there (it's been on for a month approx.). The car felt somewhat restricted upon acceleration and when I let off the accelerator, the car felt like as if it was riding on train tracks (definite pulsation from the rear right wheel). I did a few more turns and started braking harder and harder. I also stuck it in reverse, accelerated and slammed the brakes, then I repeated the process in drive. After a few minutes of full-on braking, the pulsations stopped and the car drove like new. I have no idea what this problem can be, but I'm almost certain it's brake related. Can anyone offer their know-how in order to help me get rid of this problem?

P.S.: It's 41 degrees Celsius/106 degrees Fahrenheit in Montreal and when I parked the car after intense stopping, the bottom of the car was, quite literally, steaming! Brake fluid overheat? Any input is appreciated

I honestly hope that's it. I wouldn't want it to be any worse than that to be honest. If it is indeed seized PD, wouldn't it still do it instead of just stopping? And would there actually be a dash light if the caliper seized? It doesn't seem like there's a sensor which can tell me that. I'll drive it around and see if it still does and I'll report back later tonight. Thanks for the input

OK, shortly after my last post, I went for a quick drive once again and the problem hasn't re-appeared. I'll chime in again with more info. This is starting to look like a blog

Caliper may not be completely seized yet,, but sounds like on it's way out.
