Default My $1000.00 LS......

As some of you know, I bought a 93 LS400 with some random running issues, after a few hours of work, I determined that it was the ECU, so I got one for $50.00 and replaced it, along with the AFM. I bought the car from a mechanic that I go and get state inspections from. It was a customers car that got tired of throwing money at it to try and get it running right. So I asked about it a couple times over the past 6 months, and finally wound up with it at $1000.00. I need to put new tires on it yet for inspection, but other than that, it's good to go. Runs strong, everything works,ete....I look forward to playing with this car and hoping to get to know some of you all on here. So what do you all think, still needs a good cleaning. Oh, and I am the lucky 3rd owner, car has 193K on it.

Thanks for all the welcomes, complements, etc...... Plans as of right now are....

Get rid of fishbowl status. Have an appointment on the 17th to get that done. Only $150.00 with a lifetime warranty.

Lower the car. Think I am settled on the H&R's

I would love to get a set of wheels for it.

Do some exhaust work. Think I am just going to remove the resonators.

Maybe an intake of some sort.

I have a 7" in-dash radio/nav unit I might put in it.

And if I continue on with the car, I have always wanted a 2JZ, so that might be later on down the line. But this engine or transmission is going to have to blow up first.

I am going to be using it as a daily along with my Silverado pickup.

I had a ES300 a few years back that I bought from the original owner for $500.00 with 190K on it. He wanted to junk it because the exhaust flex pipe under the car blew out.

So I put about $300.00 in that car, and drove it over a year and sold it with 250K for $1400.00 with a mashed front end from hitting a deer. Loved that thing, would never die.

So when I saw the LS, I thought that it would be nice to have a Lexus again. Yea, it's a bit bigger than the ES, but I'm a big dude, so the LS is more comfortable.

Welcome back then You paid a fair price for it

Bought a fixer too a while ago for €350,- with only 130K on it. But I'm parting it out at the moment, I have good use for the parts

Keep us updated

You did well my friend, congrats.

I know you're swapping the wheels, but what you have is so much better than the OEM directional "fin" wheels mine had. They look decent until you do.
