Heatercore Issue. Passenger Footwell is soaked
Hey Guys,
Just signed up. Owned my LS400 For a few years now. Using it as a daily..
Over a few weeks, i could smell the lovely smell of coolant evaporating inside, Smells somewhat fishy (best i could describe)
Noticed my coolant levels were a bit low a few months ago. so i topped it up. and all was peachy keen until..... today i was at the Shops and i noticed a lovely stream of coolant coming from under the car, but it was leaking near the Rails, after further investigation the passenger carpet (RHD) was soaked and water was everywhere around the glove box.
I could still see coolant in the overflow bottle so i drove it home (Half a min Drive home)
Now i gather its a sure sign my heatercore is gone. I know I'm up for a b**ch of a job getting it out.. Is there anything i should do or know before i attempt this. I gather its a joyful job of removing the whole dash? and does anyone know where i can download a PDF Service/repair manuals? i've looked for awhile now and can't seem to find one that wont cost me or a tutorial? thanks.
