Default The Idle/Dying Problem

So as many know and I know some other have experienced....Has anyone solved the problem or figured out any solutions to this?

Today here it was 91 out and I went to a car was turned the car off and went to turn it back on and NADA.... Finally had to replace the battery got it running and the idles were dipping to around 100 to 200.

Anyway I took it to toyota and there going to try and figure it out. And if they do I will be sure to let everyone know. Just some food for thought when I cranked the heat all the way up it would somewhat help bring the idle up to around 450 to 600.

This is what i would try too.

Don't let them replace any injectors or anything!! this happened to me before and the dealership wasnt smart enough to clean the Idle Air Control Valve and replaced injectors at a PREMIUM price...only to find out it wasnt it.

Yea, I will give that a try once i get it back with what they say there diagnosis is. I don't plan to have them go replacing all sorts of things.. and I will check into the IACV when i get it back.

I had cleaned out the egr filter last august but it never got really hot again to be able to see if that helped or not.

Sorry guys was out of town on work. However I got the car back after they did a full checkup ran all sorts of tests. There first suggestion was a full pcv, iacv, and throttle body cleaning and since it was going to cost me the same for them to do it or not I went ahead with it.

Anyways Since my major problem and the first post I have done the following:

Full cleaning of throttle body, IACV, and PCV.
Cleaned the EGR filter.
Replaced the Battery.
Swap out the Cone on my Intake.
Turned the TPS up to as high of an idle as possible.

The results so far are...It has yet to do anything that it was doing before. In park when fully warm and at 90 outside It idles at around 1200. When Fully warm and around 90 outside and in drive it is now at about 700 sometimes 600.

My next idea just as a kinda of back up is to talk to lexus and yall and consider replacing the TPS granted it is only 5 years old.

600-700 rpm's that's normal operation. In closed loop status. If you have any other concern about your rpm's, you might try a fuel pressure test. General rule of thumb you should be between 45-60 psi in fuel system.

Ok, just kinda weird though because when it's at 600 rpms it sounds like the engine is struggling, or making noise it shouldn't but when you put your foot on the gas and hold it steady at 700ish it sounds like a normal engine at idle should.

You just cleaned up all your air passages. I highly reccomend checking your fuel system. Do you have a scanner?
