Default New Owner of a 1997 LS400 Coach Edition

About a week ago, we lost a 1994 LS400 to the rear end of a Chrysler SUV. It was a great car but now it has given us the chance to upgrade.

So I did some trolling on this forum, other forums, local ads, ads in other states and after selecting and looking at 4 cars, the best one there was in terms of condition was this 1997 LS400 Coach Edition.

Little bit of background on it (and then the pics!), its a sage green exterior color and a gray green interior, all keys all the mats and booklets, car is damn near immaculate. I would be the third owner, previous owner had the car for almost ten years and from what the sales guy told me, he sold the car because his girlfriend (was divorced and started dating again) didn't like this car because her father had an LS400 and she didn't want to ride in something like that. (Makes me wonder how old she was if she was complaining about her father driving that car but that's besides the points)
So he sold the car 95k miles and bought a Jaguar....

They had the car for about 2 weeks before I bought it. Got it for 8k, down from almost 9k.

Well took pictures, its freakin hot out....
But turns out that since I bought a sony and can't find the cable, the stupid sony memory card won't fit my laptop.
So I'll post the pictures I took tonight, but until then, here's the link to the place I bought it from. They took very good pictures, and I know that most of the time when you look at a picture the car looks amazing and in person its a bit less than that. These pictures are a true showing of the car.

http://www.motorsourceinc.com/detail...d-5610524.html

There is one shot of the front where the bumper looks emerald green-ish. That's the color of the car, not sure why the lighting in their pictures made it look like a gray tone.
The driver's seat has no wear on the side support (that usually gets worn down a lot) and the leather is clean and soft all throughout. Except behind the rear headrest, starting to get hard and rough. Is this common because of the location (sun all the time) or is it like this on purpose?

Check back in tonight about 730 central when I'll get the photos I took up

the color is 6P7 Silver Jade Pearl. the car looks clean but is overpriced, for that price i would really look into a 98-00. you won't be disappointed!

seems on par compared to what i've seen listed locally w/ similar miles/condition. not much difference in price between the before/after mc's down here and i would have picked the 97 on looks anyway. coach is a bonus.

Thanks to all.
Couldn't find a 98-00 within my price range and with decent miles. Little bit high priced but considering the cars in this area had a lot more miles and not as good a condition, based the purchase on that. Plus the coach is a nice touch and has everything.

Started looking at modifications for it, nothing huge since I don't want to move too far from stock, but HID upgrades, maybe a better center console.

And even though it's been detailed, I would like to detail it on my own, that way I know for sure what's been done to it.

Still looking for the stupid camera cable.......

FYI, the 97 LS Coach Edition wheels are not the same as the standard 98-00 LS wheels.

Yeah for being a luxury car, these rims are very blah (best word I can come up with)
It looks nice and it fits but you would think that for a car like this the rims would be better. Meh oh well, still a fantastic car.

Lost the stupid cable for the camera, turned the whole place upside down looking for it. Looks like I'm going to Best Buy tomorrow to pick up a card reader...
