Default Anyone have XXR 006's?

Anyone have XXR 006's? Looking to see if they would fit the BBK. They are 18x8.5 F +35 & 18.9.5 +35. What tire size would be best on Tanabe springs and prolly coilovers later on.

What about these XXR 521's? They look sweet, but i think 18x10 + 25 may bit a big headache?

i dont see anything wrong with the xxr's. this is an old car. not a brand new benz or beemer. why spend what the car costs in rims? for a brand name? just buy what you like. not like this is a sports car or anything thats gonna be run on a road course. its a cruiser. only thing id be worried about is bad potholes. but even stock rims can be ruined by those.

edit: im personally digging these. 245/35/18 front and 275/35/18 rear is what id run for tires.

I like to call it the pride of ownership. You dont have an old civic or commuter car, you have an old luxury barge. when you see a cheaply made wheel next to a quality work, volk, ssr, etc.. the difference is obvious.
one wheel you could maybe get a couple years of use out of before they bend or crack. the other could last you a lifetime if you care for them. ask me how i know, ive owned both.

seriously... between the choices that have been posted in this thread id rather throw up on my stock wheels and drive around like that then rock any of those cheap knockoffs.

not to even mention the safety concerns...

what safety concerns? rota's are considered cheap wheels yet the only damaged ones i have ever seen were on cars that were road raced. and guess what, ive seen HRE wheels that broke as well when road raced. your "pride" thing is simply a "class" mentality. you feel you have to have name brand wheels to make your self seem superior to those that dont.

there is a distinct quality difference between well made wheels and cheap knock-offs. and, there is a mid-ground, reasonably priced, moderate wheels of an acceptable quality (think MRR Design or the like).

one thing EVERYBODY forgets is that wheels are a stressed component, they have a limited lifespan, and need to be inspected for damage and wear and occasionally replaced. i noticed that all the examples you showed are from RACE cars. NO WHEEL COMPANY WILL WARRANTY DAMAGE FROM A RACE CAR!!!

point in case:

instead of cheaper, lower quality new wheels, why not look into a decent set of used? rbwheels has a ton, memoryfab has a ton, pandagarage, and more have good quality wheels, though sometimes they need to be cleaned up.

Love the picture PD MRR's will look good on a Lexus, and are fairly priced

I would save some, and buy some used high quality wheels too, But there might be some work on them. I have bought a set of Wald's from RB a while ago. But one of them has a few dents.
