Sup guys i have a little problem thats bugging me and idk how to fix this.
The seatbelt light that appears on the dash isnt turning on when i dont have the seatbelt on. Usually it is on when i take my seat belt off to back up my car into my parking space, but today i notice its not lit up.
Any ideas why? or what the problem might be?
Its a 94 ls400.

My guess is that there must be some type of switch inside the seat belt receiver that detects when its plugged in that has failed. Just a wild guess though. Does it work intermittently at all?

thats what im thinking too. no, it just stop lighting up at all, but then again it barely started today so i'll have to see in the following days to see if it works on and off.

I'd probably buy some electronics cleaner spray from Radio Shack and spray some down inside the belt receiver. Nothing to lose. I'd give it 15 minutes to evaporate before turning on the ignition.

does it light up at all when u turn the key to the "on" position? maybe the bulb is out

no it doesnt light up at all. yeah i read up on it and its probably the bulb. i'll check that out first since it seems to be the easiest.then i'll be back to post results.
