Default Creative ways to hide a 2nd key????

I Just had some extra keys made for my 95 400.
One is at home in a safe place to be found later if needed(I hope lol).
Anybody have any suggestions/creative ideas, or can tell me where you hide your 2nd key on the car?
Magnetic box? (Where?) Maybe you wire it someplace underneath. (Can you tell me where)...I need some input on this as I don't want to be out of town and have one of the keys at home be overnighted if lost.
I have a few ideas, but you guys are pretty creative...so...
Thanks for your input.
Don

I dont have an answer for your question, i was just wondering where u had the second key engraved? Did you have to send it off to a Lexus dealer or take it to one? I want to buy a second key myself, but i may have to send it to Stevinson Lexus or Kuni Lexus in Denver to get it engraved.

Went to Germaine Lexus in Col. Ohio
They were 25- each to be made. Of course this is a non-chip key.
TBO, I thought I wouldn't be treated that great pulling with a 95(Even though it is very nice),
I got treated like gold and walked out very happy. Customer service was 150%, they all were very cool and wanted to chat about the older cars, as well the lobby of the service center was like the lobby of a 5 star hotel with ALL the amenities.

90wreck, you could possibly screw some sort of container or plastic sleeve thing to some plastic somewhere underneath the car. Perhaps in a stable part of your liner where your front/rear bumpers are... all i can think of.

not sure about on the car (i wouldn't risk it) but lexus does sell card key (just a key blade that fits into a credit-card like holder) that you can keep in your wallet.

I wouldn't try to hide a key outside the interior either. I carry the non-chip key-card PD mentioned in my wallet -- used it only a few times in 20 years but it removes the worry. You could hide a chip key inside the car if you are worried about that.

If you post where, it will not be creative and safe anymore.

What's your bigger concern, losing the key or locking it inside the car or trunk?

i had that treatment ONCE from a single salesman here in southern california....i'm not going to mention which dealership because the guy dared to give me crap for being young and both sitting in/poking around an SC430 (then new) and then helping myself to a few refreshments. then i dragged him over to the parts counter and explained to the parts manager what was happening, who then showed him rather long list of parts i was about to purchase while giving him the death stare. took all i could to keep from laughing but the guy did bring me a coffee afterwards

Actually both...why do you ask?

member BBthomas mentioned try putting it on top of the license plate lens which held in by 2 phillips.....Might try this, then all I would need is a phillps head to retrieve my key.
If the bulb is not hot enough to melt the lens, it shouldn't melt the key plastic is my guess.
However, it may block the amount of light coming through.
Could also break the bulb if it is not taped down.
^^^^^^
This will not work, I checked. Too close to the bulb.

Put a cutout into the inner sole of your shoes. External places on the car are limited and while most won't take a screwdriver to a car to find them, it is still a risky practice. If you lose the shoes it is of minor consequence since they cannot be directly ID'd to a car. Just remember before tossing out our old shoes to retrieve the key.

PD...next move is the Ferrari and Porsche dealerships.

I think I'd take a different approach... Viper sells a remote start / lock / unlock system that can be operated via software on a Blackberry or IPhone. I'd install this and then hide a spare key inside the vehicle.
