that doesnt seem right, you have it LIGHTER in the rear?
and 85% is almost see through transparent...
you do realize that the percentages are the percent light Transmitted through right?
for example, limo tint, some of the darkest you can get, is generally 5% transmittance...

It's generally mistaken to think the higher percentage of tint would be the darkest, but PD is right. The lower the percentage of tint, the darker tint you have. 85% is like having a dusting of dirt on the windows. It looks to me to be about 15% on the rear and 35% on the front (Legal Limit in KY). Ironic that you got the percentages 85 and 65 though. Almost like the person who told you them subtracted 35 and 15 from 100 to get the percentages.
For reference:

I had so many % number's thrown out there when I was looking seems like everybody had their own interpretation, on how dark is dark, my understanding it goes on the % of light visible through the window, I might stand to be wrong. In TN it's suppose to be 35% all around.

Seems to me that most stock OEM tint is around 30-35% on the rear windows, which is what I will go with all the way around. I think 35% is the legal limit in IN but no cop has ever given me grief for 30%. I like 30% dark enough to keep out the sun and prying eyes but not too dark you can't see out at night. I don't like different shades between front and rear.

i have to agree. looks good but i personally wouldnt have got that front window strip. i would have just tinted the whole front windshield in a lighter shade.
