Here are the pics how it looks when the back shelf (board) is cut...I tried doing it as neat as possible, but the factory shelf is still much better...

This is from very close, and it doesn't look as ugly when you look at it from a slight distance....

Must say that you have a nice and clean LS. Like the color. And the fitment of the stereo. Where did you get the adapter from? Have 2-DIN stereo in my car to and I have a narrow gap between the adapter and the climate control.

And the original size for the tires on a 93-94 LS is 225/60-16.

Lex93fan, yeah i had some problems too. Did not found out what was wrong, but took a bunch of different backgrounds on my usb but only a few of them worked with the pioneer. Dont know why. Must be some difference in jpg format somehow. Haven't got the time to look further at the problem.

Twix, did you really have to cut out the whole shelf to fit the new speaker cover/ brake light? I saw some pictures here on CL a while ago and it looked like the cover just fitted like the other one but you just had to find the hidden screw holes. I must say it looks a bit ugly with the cuts though you dont see it on a distance. I'm a little too much perfectionist, but it must be possible to it nice without getting a new shelf.

JAndersson, i got the 2-DIN adapter from ebay usa. I have no problem with any gap, only thing its all made of plastic so its not as good quality like the original and can be a hassle to mount. But with some patience and a few "@&%$ words it works out. Remember to put some ducktape or something on around the dashboard so you dont make scrathes.

And thank you for the tire info.

Are you sure? Because according to the Swedish road authority "transportstyrelsen" the original dimension on my -94 is 225/60R16

THIS IS CORRECT
225/60-16 for all LS400s 1993-2000.
225/65-15 for LS400s 1989-1992

Unfortunatly yes, as the shelf that is made for 3rd brake light is much lower in that section where the cover/brake light comes on...
The clips to fit the cover are the same, so it clips in nicely...

Also, the width of the cover is like 4-6mm (milimeters) diferent, so that is why the sides had to be cut, otherwise it doesn't clip in

I tried doing it the best I could, but I'm sure with a bit more time it could of been done better...

I'm still thinking of getting the shelf but the delivery on ebay from USA to me (South Africa) was around $700 cause of dimensions
Price for the new shelf by Lexus dealers is around 500 euros (?!?!?!) wich I beleive is way too much for such a thing...

Its a shame that it is so difficult to fit a 3rd brake light from a newer model. And yeah tell me about shipping costs. Its also very hard to get parts in DK. But i think i will make some custom LED light, but i want it to look like factory made. Thats how i want it with everything i do to my car.

Here are two more pics how the brake lights look on the end...

Those cuts are really not noticable, and this is the factory brake lights with 3rd light look...

Pics are taken in my garage in the evening (first in dark, second with light on), so sorry for the bad quality...
