Default 93LS Locks won't stop engaging...

I've read through all the treads in regards to door lock problems and didn't see my issue posted . As soon as I drive off with my car the locks engage and then every time I stop they try to engage again even though it is already locked and it will keep doing this all day long. Any help here would be very appreciated. The first letter on the serial number is a J, so I'm thinking built in Japan. Whe I got the car there wasn't any name on the back except Lexus and the prvious owner said it was like that when he bought it. Hope this helps.

With mine it was the door key cylinder on the drivers side. There are electrical contacts to the cylinder and these had become worn. This caused it to short out thus causing the locks to unlock and lock. Replacement cylinder was $102, labor including install and re-key was $367 for a total of $470.

I requested the old parts and there was an arc trail from the smeared contact metal embedded in the nylon housing. Recommendation by the tech...don't manually use the key, the remote opening is the preferred method.

You could try disconnecting the harness to the cylinder but IDK if that will trigger a warning dash light and or it may cause a open loop in the electrical and security system ECU's.

Did I mention that the locks are only trying to lock and not unlock? All of the lock do engage and stay that way, but something is energising them again and again. I don't use the door key ever, just the remote unlock. I've noticed it happens only when I'm braking. I found a broken wire in the trunk near the drivers side hinge and it was a white wire with black tracer. Even after fixing the brake the problem is there. It ia very consistent and is driving me nuts!!

I did find a white wire with black tracer that was broken inside the insulation but that isn't what fixed it. There were some wires that had rubbed under the gash and the brake pedal was touching when I braked. My white wire was exposed and outside of the hinge, do some of them brake inside the plastic cover on the hinge itself?
