New ECU is out!
Ok, I have just updated my web site with some info on the new ECU for our cars!
Basically it adds 15-20hp, easy to install and tune, price is good and I think I am getting one!
Check this out for more info:

hey you mentioned four wires that had to be put to the engine bay to install the ECU.......where do you have to run these wires through??? theres so many wires under that part of the car it'd be hard to find a hole in the firewall....the only other question i hav is how does this effect the gas mileage.....i mean it sounds like you could change it to give u max gas mileage when you dont hav a heavy foot, but when u just feel like showing those rice rockets up u could turn the ***** a bit....but it seems like this might be hard to find an optimum setting for both the high and low *****....just some thoughts

Let us know what happens when you get yours retro. How do you tune something like that? Do you have to use a dyno? What kind of gains would you see coupling that with a BFI? Would the BFI possibly hinder performance gain? I'm looking at designing my own BFI here pretty soon.

Heya guys, I just talked to Chris and he says that split second is clearing it's stock on the base model ECU units. Basically you can get the unit for $200 + shipping. So if you ever wanted to buy one, do it now.

I sent out the check today.
There won't be any new models since all ECU does is controllng air/fuel ratios. There is not much else you can electronically do to increase power.

So does that mean that once these units are gone they'll no longer be available? I'd like to get one but I'm just a bit leary of tuning it. How do I go about doing something like that?

The company has bunch of other units also. If this one is no more produced, other ECU's can be used to be tuned for our cars.
The ECU works the same way S-AFC would but it requires much less tuning and therefore less expensive overall. You need a performance shop do it for you using dyno.

I think the unit has to be recalibrated if you are going to run above $450. You need to send it in if you upgrade or you can purchase the recalibrated unit once you get the turbo. To my understanding the whole recalibration is very cheap.
So to answer your question, yes, it will work with turbo or N2O.

I was going to contact SplitSecond, and see if they offered anything that would allow the removal of the tiny airflow meter our cars have, and replace it with a MAP sensor.
That's a decent price,I paid over twice that for their next higher model, for another car, worked great.

Okay maybe this is a stupid question, but where would I get one of these units that is already calibrated for my car? The cureline.net site says that "This unit has to be set to work with Lexus so don't just buy it from the site!". So where can I get it?
Thanks
Thanks
