Default Best coilovers for comfort/price...

After reading through some of the search results i saw that many people seemed to like the Megan coilovers for their ride quality and price, however i also saw many that disliked the Megans.

I have come across some D2 coilovers:

Does anyone have any experience with these? How do they compare to the Megans?

I will never track the car, so for me ride quality will be the biggest factor, along with price.

Thanks for any input,

Kyle

megans are pretty comfortable depending how low you are planning to go.

'Comfort' is too subjective a term.
My wife never noticed a difference in ride quality when I put my Megans in.
They were riding at this height:

Default LS400 fits?

Will these Megan EZ street coilovers fit the 1992 LS400 model? I'm looking for budget coilovers and they seem great but all that pops up are 95-00. Will they fit?

Megan EZ Street coilovers fit all 90-00. The coilovers themselves were actually prototyped on a 90-94 chassis, so I believe you're good to go. That being said, I recently picked up a set of Megans, and I'm looking forward to using them with my UAS bags in the near future.

I personally had a bad experience with Megan's on my 93 Celsior, I found them very harsh and I kept hitting the bump stops on highway dips. I also had my car raised up far far from HellaFlush.

I am also considering the Megan's for my 98+ car despite the bad exp I had with the 93 units, I wish I knew someone running them I could check it out on.

Hey thanks a lot man, i appreciate the info. Hopefully I'm good, definitely bag it long term but coilovers in the time.

I have been running Megan EZ coilovers for about 18 months on my 98 and once I dailed them in to my riding preference they felt good IMO.

Compared to the stock ride quality, how are they? like factory firm in a car like a GTi or Focus ST, or softer, or harder like coilovers in a 240sx or Supra or something?

i rode on a set of megan LPs on my friend's 97 and it felt surprisingly like factory firm on the GTI, and he was on G35 18s. his damper was set midway soft/hard.

always gotta keep in mind these cars are HEAVY so hearing 14k spring rates shouldn't immediately denote a stiff ride. of course if you put 14k on a much lighter car, your will get your teeth fillings knocked out eventually.
