Default 93 LS Door Repairs and Paint job (in progress)

my brethren,

my Lexus is currently in the shop. After rebuilding my transmission i get to finally get my rear driver door fixed. I have also saved up a little extra so that i can get an all black pearlescent paint. My baby's paint is starting to oxidize and she deserves to look good with a close up. unfortunately, the parts that i have are from a 91 Lexus. luckily i was able to find a door with the same color, it's just that the molding on the bottom isn't the same. At least that's what the mechanics are telling me.

here are some pictures:
pic 1:the car before any bodywork
pic 2:the new door is replaced, door jambs and front door touch up aren't done yet.
pic 3: close up at the left rear door molding, notice how it doesn't line up like the the next pic. the fender mold was knocked off during the accident and the piece that i was going to replace it with has the same problem.
pic 4: the next pic lol. This is the right side of the car, just for reference.

my question is how do your moldings look? do they have the rubber piece on the bottom? and what years of lexus ls400s do you drive? thank you for any input. i will post pictures of the finished product hopefully by next weekend

hello there,

90-92 years had the rubber on the bottom of the moulding, icky for sure

93-94 had the bigger sideskirts as well as a plethora of other improvements

lexls.com to learn the exact differences between the years.

thank you, So if anyone out there ever has to replace a door keep this in mind. That way the bodywork will have zero delays. unlike mine where im stuck looking for some molding to replace it. If anyone knows where to find these specifically it would be deeply appreciated.
