SOLVED! 1992 LS400 DUAL Climate LCD
Hello, I am the proud owner of a 1992 LS400, with DUAL climate control (front/rear). The LCD-panel which shows the temperature etc has the same problem as the ones with "normal" climate, so I bought a new LCD-panel from eBay, and started to follow the instructions posted here to change it. BUT the LCD-panel for my car showed up to be smaller, I had no idea neither did the seller, and I am not able to find the correct panel.
Has anyone here solved this rare problem? I have taken some pictures from the changing process, until the last picture where you can se the difference in size of the two panels :-(
THe problem:
My unit dismounted and ready to be fixed:
But no, not this time :-( Look at the difference in size of the old LCD and the new from eBay:

It seems like this was a tough one ;-) Is it anybody at all in here with dual climate control like I have?
Does anybody know a manufacturer of these kind of LCD-panels that may be contacted?

Hej!
In case nobody here knows where to get such a LCD screen then IMHO I would suggest taking all available information off from the original one (size, pin count etc.) and either
- go the local electronic shop and see if they can find such an item (I 'think' that is just a commercial part)
- contact a person who sells the bigger ones and see if he/she can point you to correct direction

Yes, I thought of that, but scanning through lots of electronics-catalouges didn't help much.
But performing the right search on google, "LCD for rear air condition of Lexus LS400 1992" came up with a few webstores with what I believe is the correct part, unfortunately they all costs about $80 plus postage to Norway, with customs etc it will come close to $150, when the "normal" one found on eBay cost me $30.
But I am a bit further on my quest after all :-)

Keep searching, you may well find something similar with better price.
And now that you know the parts are out there also the local or nearby specialist may find it for you for example fra Norge.

My car was imported from Qatar to Norway in 1993, hence the need for extra cooling I guess :-)
But it seems like I have to put my parts together again unrepaired for this time...

Search Celsior LCD as opposed to LS400. Most cel's came out with the dual zone climate control. Mine a lot further gone than yours though, I've just chosen to leave it be.
