Default Tire Fitment Question

Hey all!

I am thinking of putting some 20's on my LS400 and have a question. I have a set of tires right now that are 275/45/R20 with an overall diameter of 28.5 inches. My question is would there be any issues with bottoming out or rubbing around corners? Is there anyone who has a similar tire on their Lexus who could guide me.

2 things to get you a faster response..

1. Always list the year of your car, as there are alot of members here and we cannot always remember what everyone has.

2. I peeked at your profile and saw that you have a 91 LS. The tire profile(45) is gonna be entirely too big for the car and you WILL have rubbing issues. I am not a complete fitment expert and others should chime in shortly.

Folks,, 275/40/20 on a 1 LS,,,, chime in to help the noob out.

that's way too tall. like huge. they'd fit on an LX or GX! the LS really has small wheelwells that don't take to 20's very well, plus they are so tall, they always lift the car up and make it look like a 4x4.
if you absolutely have to have 20's, you probably want a 245 40 20 or something close to that.

r u planning on lowering the car also? this info would help a lot.

u should run 225-245/35/20 depending on the width of the rim and if u dont mind stretching the tire a little bit. that should minimize the rubbing a lot

like said above experts should chime in soon to conform and help

Thanks for the replies everyone! I know plenty about cars.....except for wheels and tires-not my strong suite. I just wanted to make sure before I sell them. I think I'd rather go with some deep dish 18's. I appreciate the help.
