Default Replacing steering wheel

Hey guys~~~~I am thinking buying a new steering wheel since the original one is a little bit worn out. Can I use the newer LS's wood steering wheel?

They modify your EXISTING steering wheel. You will need to remove it and send it in, in 2 weeks, you get your wheel back with wood and NEW leather. I thought I made that information pretty clear in that thread...

The only thing is that you don't have a wheel for 2 weeks. I have a loaner program also (READ THAT THREAD THROUGHLY).

Default steering wheel replacements

The wheel on my 92 LS400 is also getting
"more than worn", and if you have talked to the Lexus folks about replacing it, my dealer quoted around 900 bucks for just replacing the outer wheel...

I have looked all over the web and found a place in Mesquite Texas that will redo them if you send them your wheel....(by the way, this isn't an ad for them, but I am thinking about having them re-do mine as the price is right)

Heres the link..hope this helps...and if anyone has used them, please let me know your experience with the repair...I am wanting to upgrade my old leather wheel to their wood and leather...

Hi Capper, welcome to CL. I'll be the first, and probably the nicest, at pointing out that we (collectively) already have a groupbuy going on with American Stitches. Read through the thread below so you can get in on the deal.

Default group buy

Thanks Josh...I'm a newbie here, just found and joined the site yesterday, so I haven't made it through all the threads. I will read through the group buy and see what the deal is. I was going to have mine redone while I am on a two week golf trip to Scotland in August...will see if doing it that late will still work with the group buy.
