Default Interior renovation

Well now that schools been out and the holidays have passed, I finally got around to redoing my interior. The interior of my LS is the black leather but the all the pillars and headliner is gray... I've found out that covering the surfaces of the interior panels is a cheap, easy and usually reversable way to make the car much nicer.
So far I've only finished the back pillars by the rear seats, and it didnt come out as nicely as I hoped.

I was way off by how much vinyl I needed so I couldnt finish the rest, but they both need to be redone either way because they'd didn't come out as nice as I hoped. (one side has junk that got stuck underneath and the other side has 2 huge air bubbles...)
With that said, any opinions as fas as should I continue with this wood design (birch wood) or switch to a black wood design?
birch wood/black wood

As soon as I finish the interior panels I'm planning on redoing the headliner with a black suede as well.

Anyone who wants to try this as well, I bought the vinyls at http://www.rvinyl.com
All you need is the vinyl, sissors, soapy water, and a hair dryer (heat guns might melt the vinyl)

+1 Blackwood. Maybe you can use it to cover the switch and ashtray.

All of a sudden it was like I was in my grandarent's basement. Not a fan of the all wood interior.
Props for the unique idea and execution though.
