Hey guys.. I have a 93 lexus ls400. There is a red circle around which there are some dotted concentric lines in the right lower corner of the instrument cluster. does any one know what this indicates? any help will be appreciated...

Sounds like its your brake lining warning lamp. I know that my old 1985 Mercedes had this light and it looked like that... it signaled worn brake pads.

I am not sure, because my 1991 dont have this light feature.

You can get a free owners manual from Lexus.... www.lexus.com I think.

It is the brake pad wear warning light so get all your brake pads checked asap the bad news is the sensor attached to the pads is now probably broken too and they are expensive to replace.
If all the pads check out OK have the sensor wiring checked

B-R-A-K-E-S as in "to brake" "retard the motion of an object"
Thank-you.

Well, two years may be OK if the car has not been driven much, but brakes mostly are a mileage thing. Some last longer than others, depending on driving habits, brand of pads and type of car.

The brakes on my LS400 have were installed at 200K and it has 225K now. No squeaking or scrubbing, but I am getting some feedback through the steering wheel during braking... I guess the rotors need to be turned.
