Default Semi-Newbie 95 LS400 Intro "Have to Upgrades"

Hi all,

I finally found the cream puff I’ve been searching for 95 LS400 153K miles Ebony Teal Pearl and the old lady(literally) I bought it from, (her son was in town for the holiday to sell it for her) was the only owner and driver. She had a stack of receipts an inch think from 11/94 all the way until today. Two timing belts have been replaced, every item that was mentioned at the dealer she had fixed or replaced every time.

So my question is, are there any upgrades that are musts considering this will just be a cruising car on nice days or longer trips.

My list of mods include rims, and tint.

Is there anything in these receipts I should look at further to see if it was done or things to look out for at 150K+.
@ 133K a 30,000 mile servise was done, trans and diff fluid, cooling system flush, bleed brakes, clean throttle body, inspec and lube.
@ 130K Timing belt
@ 120K 60,000 mile service was done, tran and diff fluid, pcv valve, fuel injection filter, platinum spark plugs, brake bleed, cooling flush, throttle body and fuel injector clean.
@ 109K power steering pump/pully
@108 both cats replaced

Wow, great find,

Thats odd that the steering wont telescope. You should probably get rid of that car quick, I will buy it.

EBay or junk yard for the hood struts.

Right you are on the Color, i have a Black Jade Pearl. Very close in color. Body looks mint.

great find, reminds me of my old '95, right down to the color and Nak package! lol

6n9, ebony teal pearly is a relatively rare color, so take care of the paint. to date there have been a grand total of maybe 5-6 members on CL with an LS in the same color.

Hey 7schulz, I did some research on hood struts and found out a couple important things..

MightyLift have a history of bending/warping the hood..STAY AWAY. eBay struts are undocumented...

StrongArm struts have been installed by several CL members with positive results. Fairly cheap.

http://www.amazon.com/StrongArm-4566.../dp/B000JZY99Y

$21.69 a piece.
