ok i am new here. i currently have a little riced out mx-3. but am selling it to get an ls. i think i like the 90-94 body the best, and there seems to be a lot of mods for these cars. my mx-3 has hids, and it uses 9004 bulbs. will these work in the ls? if not, what bulbs do these cars take? i can probably use the ballasts that i have and buy new bulbs, correct? also, is the 95-up car a lot better than the 1st gen? the motor is the same correct? any major differences or was it just a different body?i like the nose of the older car, better, and like the different tails available. thank u for the help.

only the 90-92 models use a 9004 headlight bulb.The 95-97 LS has the same engine,but 10 more hp also the interior is a little better.



But if your into moding your LS 400 the 90-94 is the way to go,but there are parts for the 95 and on models but not as much as the 90-94 LS 400's

ok cool. my old car had mad **** done to it, engine swap, body kit etc... but it is too small. so i should have the car within 2 weeks, hopefully. so basically i want to find a 94 right? without air suspension. and also if i buy h4 bulbs will they plug into my philips ballasts?

Does not really matter what model, as long as the car is taken care of and mantained really well, these cars last a very long time as long as you dont abuse them, heck even if you do they will last longer than others.

ok thank u guys for the help, i will be back once i get the car. so there arent any problem areas to look for when i am checking over the car correct? my dad is a used car wholesaler, so he is pretty good at determining whether or not a car is the right one. where are you guys located out of? i am in new rochelle ny., near manhattan

i am always down to go to the point, i used to take my mazda there a lot, but lately it has been locked. i did hear hunts and zerega was good last weekend tho. i might go tonight, but i am gonna drive the vw.
