Hey guys-

Just finished replacing capacitors on the guage cluster (thanks to the board and lexls.com)....unfortunately, at the last second, my needle stopped illuminating. I was going to try the conductive paint route, but screwed up pulling the needle out (and the spring came out).

So....I'm looking for:

1) a place that can rebuild the mechanical part of the needle
2) a place (other than the dealer) where I can buy the needle assembly, to put in my now almost-perfectly-working guage cluster.

Tried searching for an answer, got all the answers I need re: lights, but not repairing/replacing a needle.

Also, does this needle not working impact the odometer display?...or is that another capacitor I need to replace?

let me be honest with you man, it's easier to just go get a cluster from a junkyard or part out, you can probably pick one up as low as $35 with a little looking, and have spare parts for when things go bad

+1 with Thermactor about junkyards, you find a lot of little goodies for cheap.

I would have sent mine in to LexTech for a complete build but didn't have enough money, junkyards ftw.
