Default Headunit question....

I was wondering if I can replace the stock headunit with Navigation on a '99 LS with an aftermarket double din headunit?

Also, are there any iPod adapters for this model besides an FM transmitter?

Is it possible to disconnect the cd changer and hook it up with to auxillary in? I only listen to my iPod, so this will help alot...

A number of 98-05 GS owners have verified that a non-nav GS HVAC control is plug and play on a 98-05 GS that came with OEM nav but I don't remember anyone trying something similar on a 98-00 LS400 that came with OEM nav ... i.e. getting an HVAC control from a non-nav 98-00 LS so they could install an aftermarket double DIN headunit.

Maybe you could view diagrams of the HVAC connectors on both nav and non-nav 98-00 LS400s on Lexus techinfo to at least see if the connectors look the same.
