How much can i get for my 1996 ls400?
A few months back i picked up a really nice ls400 from my friends father with over 200k on the clock. It was garaged kept and lexus serviced.
It somehow got a blown headgasket thus the reason he sold it to me. Im guessing it was something as simple as the radiator cap and he didnt notice.
Anyhow i picked up a very low miles motor off a wrecked car with 60k miles and had a mechanic shop swap it in as well as do all the maintenance such as timing belt, water pump, and oil seals.
My wife wants a rx330 now so we are thinking about selling it.
How much realistically can i expect to get for it? The seats have no rip and the outside still looks very very clean.
Thanks for the help.

Thats a good estimate. I just picked my 95 up with 136k miles, black on black in good condition for $4100. The economys soo bad right now and everyone wants fuel efficient crap, these V8's are going for dirt now. Even Infiniti Q45's are going very cheap.
The LS i picked up, the guy was asking $5200, then dropped to $5000, then I talked him down to $4100. He was trying to sell the car for almost 2 months... I kept an eye on it

Cars in this condition are selling for about $3500-5000 ASKING (and people are probably able to negotiate another $500ish).
If your interior was PERFECT including the center console and every single part worked, you could probably command $5500-6000 with the right buyer.

Thanks guys. Its going to be hard letting this one go. I really like the way it drives. I admit though the roar of the v8 engine upon startup sometimes sounds scary though haha.

I'm about to pick one up this Saturday... 1996 with 216k miles but very clean... paid $3800... did I get a good deal assuming everything is in good shape?
The pictures and description said everything worked, and the interior and engine looks extremely clean. I registered on Lexus.com and noticed that the car was serviced at the dealership until a few years ago when I guess the new owner (hopefully) kept up with the maintenance as DIY/Independent mechanic. Most of the miles are highway miles, since the previous owner added over 100k miles in the last 5 years!
Anyway, assuming the car is as excellent as it looks, would $3800 be considered a good deal even with the high mileage? I hope to get at least another 100k miles on it, and I'll be happy
