Hey guys,

I've never seen this body kit before, what do you guys think? The car is going for about $1500 obo, and is said to need A/C work but that's it.

Thoughts?

It looks like it is a cheap ebay knock off kit.
Look at how high the front bumper is compared to the side skirts alone.

I noticed that too. I'm not a fan of bodykits myself. I do like the monotone result though. I lol'd a bit at what looks like Cadillac wheels, but that's just me. I think I'll bring a good camera with me and take some much higher quality pics.

Just a feeler, if I picked it up, would someone want any parts off it? I'd probably return it back to stock or close to it myself.

Actually, a quick eBay adventure found this:

This is the kit -

Hmm...

Its either that, or a knockoff.

I wonder if it just needs some really kickass wheels with an aggressive fit.

Not a fan of the kit IMO.

I prefer the clean stock look, upgraded lexus rims.

Aero kit yes, full body kit no. I like sleek and sexy. Save your money for under da hood.

I wouldn't be buying this one for the fact it actually has this kit. Actually up until the pics being sent to me, I thought I'd be looking at a stock-ish 91 for ~$1500.

The kit being on there...well...I'm not a fan of kits. HOWEVER, if the rest of the car is clean and it drives well, I figure $1500 is not a bad asking price for a decent LS.

I'm taking a look at it today after work, and will report back. I'm going to snap some high res pics tonight, drive it hopefully, and crawl under it and check it all out.

Remind me, I'm supposed to look at the PS pump / alternator area for a fluid leak, smoke at startup, glitches in the dashboard, and test EVERY button, right? Anything else I'm forgetting besides the obvious ride and drive?

Who cares about the kit? For $1500 that car is potentially a very good deal. Take the kit off and replace it with stockers or another kit. You might even be able to sell the kit to someone else.

EXACTLY! You are thinking just like I am. Hell, we know it has some aftermarket goodies on it, someone's going to want them, even if its not the kit. The exhaust looks interesting, as does the grille. Actually, I'll admit I like the grille.

I'm looking forward to tonight.

I'm excited, the guy is coming to my house rather than me coming to him. In fact, that should be happening any minute now.

The guy said he bought it just like that, 2 months ago. I just got a msg from him saying he's not coming by. He said there's a problem with the title.

A sure sign that this was NOT meant to be, I think.
