The economy lamp always lights green
Hi guys..
The economy light always lights green. And i'm not drivning all that economic
But then there must be something wrong? Even when kick-down it still ligh up green. No change at all.
Its not a very big deal but would be nice to get it working anyway.

Rollaboy,
Most people on this forum are in the U.S. and a few are in Canada.
LS400's sold in Europe are very different than those sold in North America and the ones sold in Germany are even more different than the ones sold here.
Only the LS400 sold in Germany had the economy "Ecodrive Monitor" in the instrument cluster.
You would likely find far more information on your car on one of the German language Lexus forums. Spreken ze deutch?

I know some of the early 90's Toyotas had a green "Econ" light that lit when the auto. trans was in the "Econ" mode. The light would go off if you switched to "Normal" or "Power." Perhaps there is a similar arrangement on Euro LS's

The "Ecodrive Monitor" in the instrument cluster on the the LS400 sold in Germany doesn't work that way. It is a combination of amber (indicates poor fuel economy) and green (indicates good fuel economy) lights and functions in all transmission modes.

Hehe yeah i might need to look at another forum though i dont speek og read very good deutch 8-)
But i can say that the green light is still on while setting it from "Normal" to "Power".
I made another topic today because i have some TRAC fault codes. I also had some Engine codes which are:
21 - Main oxygen sensor signal (on left bank)
25 - Air-fuel ratio lean malfunction
26 - Air-fuel ratio rich malfunction
After reset with taking out the 20 amp fuse the fault codes are now gone. I dont know if any of these codes had something to do with the green eco light always on?
