Default Exhaust questions, cats and mufflers :)

Greetings all, i am currently in need of two cats for my 1993 ls400. A local shop quoted me $925 for 2 cats and to install them. Is that crazy? I kinda think so. I know cats aint cheap but I would like to buy some universal cats and some flowmaster super 40's and install them myself

what are the stock dimensions of the stock 1993 cat?

And what muffler dimensions are appropriate as well?

thanks for all your help guys.

Just get universal ones... There absolutely NO reason to pay that much for cats.

Default mufflers and cats

gotcha, is there a sheet somewhere that i can download that has the specs for the cats and mufflers for the car? i.e. legnth, width, inlet diameters, etc

universal cats is the route ill take, and i think the flowmasters would sound nice too.

thanks a lot
