just wanted to introduce my self, i just bought a 1999 black ls 400 with black leather, 160 km about 100 miles for $9,700 so about $8,300 Usd. i was gonna pick up a super mint white one with 90 miles for 14,000 if they even consider it, since it was for sale at a dealer for $16,000. car is about 8 /10 condition interior / exterior wise with a few samll door dings and one big stracth on the door and dime rust bubble spot on the roof by the front windshild. all maintence is uptodate and services records since day one. overall im happy with the purchase since i save $4000.00 + that can go towards mods.

u guys think it was a alright deal?

opps i thought it was 3gren since it was 1990 -94 , 95-97 , 98 -2000 then a total change in the 2001.

well...technically its 90-92 is 1gen, 93-94 is 1.5gen, 95-97 is 2gen, and 98-00 is 2.5gen...

generations are divided by chassis, 89-94 had the same UCF1x chassis. 95-00 had the same UCF2x chassis. parts are not always compatible between half generations.

updating this thread with pictures, i didn't end up getting the black on black as things didn't go through with the inspection, so i got my depsoit back and bought another one with 54 miles. just detail the car but couldn't get good reflection pictures as it was getting dark and cloudy as i was finishing up. i badly need some new wheels as the oem is pretty ugly.
