painting calipers
ok so i painted my calipers and now i want to paint "LEXUS" across the front of each of them. they have a half inch lip running across the front,i have the word stenciled onto a piece of paper i just need to know what is the best way to transfer the word onto my calipers so they look good, i dont want to screw this up....any ideas? right now i have the paper taped to the front of it so i could just paint the letters but im afraid of it running or maybe not squaring the edges off correctly so the ends of each letter wont look like a block

if you haven't started painting already there's an even better way, although i get the impression you have.
1) paint the caliper the secondary color (color you want the letters to be).
2) buy some lexus caliper decals off ebay and apply.
3) paint the caliper the primary color.
4) remove decal.

i think you were right in assuming the decals would not work, or at least look very good. i'd be interested in seeing the trd decaled set mentioned above just to see how the sticker was placed (trd decal on non trd calipers ftl imo). i would go no logo personally, everyone knows it's a lexus and they're oem calipers. leave the badging for true bbk's.

keep us updated (PICS!). i am going to do the same conversion soon and i know it's pretty much the same as the supra write up but i'd like to see the balljoint swap to make sure i'm looking at the right part.
