Default '93 ls for sale with 13,000 miles

i went car shopping at griffin automotive here in denver. they specialize in low mileage japanese cars. they get most of them from the snowbirds in florida, they say. we didn't buy one because we decided to fix our second car instead. but when my wife drove up in the ls, that naturally started a conversation about lexus cars. the guy said they just took in a '93 ls with 13,000 miles on it. he said they'd probabloy sell it in florida rather than denver. if any of you are interested i suggest you call them at 888-756-958.

i have no connection to these people, but i thought i'd pass this along for what its worth. obviously, i've never seen the car.

Well, I was thinking it might be the other way around, that it might have rolled over, heheh, but since the OP said they specialize in low mileage cars, that would be one cherry LS, IF it was maintained properly. Otherwise, a poorly maintained low mileage car would be questionable (moisture in fluids, rotted lines, dried out belts, etc)

i say it's all bull unless both the actual car AND the DMV/Service records back it up.

(generally you can find out where the vehicle was last registered)

I agree with PD on this one - My buddy got an 89 Ferrari 328 with 4,500 Miles but hey, it was from a private collection. I can't see this LS with 13,000 miles. Oh well, I suppose anything is possible.

The main areas of the U.S. where I have noticed a concentration of unusually low mileage older once expensive cars are southern Florida and Scottsdale, Arizona. It is not all that uncommon for affluent snowbirds to keep cars at their winter homes for use only two or three months a year in mainly local driving. I've especially noticed super low mileage used snowbird Lexus LS cars for sale in Scottsdale.

It is even more common for owners of exotic sports cars to rarely drive them. My next door neighbor probably doesn't drive either of his Maseratis a hundred miles a year. A few weeks ago, I looked at the odometer on my other next door neighbor's Porsche that he bought new in 1996 and which mainly sits in his garage when he isn't using it in Porsche club events -- it had less than 15,000 miles on it. I even know a guy who doesn't drive his Maserati -- it's on display in his living room with his antique motorcycle collection and his private wax museum!
