UCF21 Shift **** thread size.

Anyone know for sure what the thread size is on the LS shifter? I have a friend that does custom shifters and I'm looking at different options, but I'll be damned if I can find for sure what thread size it is.

take off the shiftknob and go into a hardware store to see what kind of thread is in it?
