Question RARE Instrument cluster problem. Stays ON

Hello i have a 1991 ls400 which i purchased in NOV 08. it has never had a problem until last night my alarm (which is a 2 way aftermarket alarm/remote starter) went off and when i went to turn it off the car was dead. It didnt respond in any way and it was raining so i waited until morning to check it out. When morning came i saw there were no fuses blown and with a mobile jump starter (which wasnt charged very much) i saw that the clock went on and so did the headlight(very dim) so i had a nieghborhood mechanic charge my battery. When he returned and connected it evrything worked normally as soon as i turned the car on. But after i took it around the block once and parked it again i noticed the the instrument cluster was on after i turned the car off and took the key out and so were the 1. low engine coolant light 2. low oil pressure light 3.discharge warning light 4. brake light 5.low engine oil light. Im waiting for the mechanic to come back through because he thought the battery might have dischared due to slightly loose battery terminals. Any help is appreciated because all the web post on the iinstrument cluster is of them not coming on and my problem is the opposite. Also i forgot to mention when the key is inserted and turned to acc or completely on(ignited) all the lights are normal and come on and go off as specified by the manual.
