My better half was tapped on the rear bumper by a toyota 4x4, the bumper was dented in and looked like it needed replacing.Insurance paid 200 more than I bought it for 2 years previous and we bought the car back for 600 bucks as SALVAGE.It still drives perfect and my bodyman just used a heat gun to return the bumper to its former self(memory plastic).Try this on thoses dented bumpers,don't burn the plastic bumper heat it slowly.Now the rear fenders,thats another story!

I think he means the rear quarter panels are another story when it comes to fixing them as opposed to the ease of fixing the rear bumper with a little heat? Must have had some quarter panel damage along with the bumper.

The molded plastic does not always return to the right position. Knowing how auto body work is done, my bet is that he used some flex body filler on that bumper to shape it so it looks like nothing happened after he used the heat gun to allow the plastic to bend/flex a bit.
