1) Does anybody know if the first gen LS400 has laminated side windows?
2) If not, do you think is possible to fit laminated side windows in front?
3) If yes, any idea where I can buy this kind of window?

The reason why I ask is that I have some wind noise and I want to keep wind noise to a absolute minimum. If someone have a better idea to make the car even quieter please share it. I really like the car but I want the best to be better ("mycket vill ha mer" as we say in Sweden)

The first year laminated side windows were available on the LS in the U.S. was 2001 on the LS430: http://www.lexls.com/info/lsgenerations.html

It is possible that the door seals have become depressed over time and are allowing air to leak. You could use an automotive stethoscope to find the exact location of the excess wind noise. Another technique is to use a strip of paper to see how well the door seals are sealing. Close the door on a strip of paper and pull on the end of the strip to see if there is resistance ... if no resistence, the seal is not tight.

Also check around the sunroof for noise.

I doubt if it would be difficult to replace door seals although I suspect they are fairly expensive.

U.S. specification LS400's did not come with mudflaps. When I bought a set of mudflaps from a dealer in the U.K. in 1990 for my first LS400, I saw that a statement that said that mudfaps added one decibel of noise at 70 mph.

Thanks for your answers. Have no sunroof. Did the paper strip test and it looks like the door seals are fine. But the door seal on back door on the drivers side are broken at the upper front corner. Are going to try to super glue it together when the weather gets better (it's snowing right know). I guess it's quit expensive to fix. But going to call the Lexus dealer nearby to see what they are saying.

And I have mudflaps. But the wind noise seems to come from upper part of the car so the broken seal can be the problem.
