Default Random LS starting problems (have you changed your distributor cap/rotors?)

I have had this problem for a year. Sometimes, my 90 LS400 will not want to start. Then it will start up when it wants with no jumpstarting it. This tends to happen more in colder weather or when it rains. I will just bid my time and wait till it's ready to start.

Anywayz, after reading the forums, I noticed that plenty of people have had said problem and many things have been made of it, some suggested the connection where the wire connects to the starter might need to be replaced, some said the starter is dying, some say it a dying fuel pump, other's FECU, or ECU problems or trunk harness. From what I noticed, many people wasted lots of money chasing this problem. So I waited till I had the time.

I took the car to Lexus Dealership, and they couldn't figure it out, but they said that my distributor cap/rotors looks to be original. So I got that changed.

It rained today, and the car started up fine, no stumble, no hestitation. I had the plugs/wires changed last year.

So before you go changing big expensive items, start with the routine maintenance, plugs, wires, distributor caps & rotors.
