I have two problems with my Lexus!
1. The overdrive signal is flashing but there is no chech engine alarm!
2. when the car is not used for 3,4 hours and then I start it, a huge amount of white smoke comes out of the exhaust for only 3 or 4 second and then it disappears!!!!!

I highly appreciate it if you could help me.

Not too sure on first issue.

Second issue could be attributed to a power steering leak. Sounds like the fluid is dripping and building up at the exhaust manifold and when you start the car is getting burned off. Actually this is not too uncommon a problem with the power steering leak. To help you further, throw some of your key word symptoms in the search feature of this forum. This issue has been discussed before.

The flashing overdrive light indicates that there is a problem with the transmission, you will need a mechanic to get the trouble code from the transmission computer.

I had the second problem and it seems to be a common one, I have a 91 LS400 and it would smoke when started. It is probably the P/S idle control valve which is on the back of the P/S pump, when this valve goes bad it lets P/S fluid go into the engine and burn, this is where the smoke is coming from os startup. I had mine changed and no more smoking

Does the smoke smell like anything?
It is probably steam, the exhaust system on these cars is huge, builds up lots of condensation.

White smoke coming out of the exhaust in huge amounts is the power steering leak. Is is a proven fact amongst these cars that when the power steering is leaking and not fixed, the leaking fluid has a tendency to get into the exhaust intake and burn off at startup. Please do a search for this related topic as it has been addressed many times before. Condensation will produce the smount of smoke that the OP is referring to unless weather conditions are extremely cold.
