welcome to the forums, maybe check the regional forums and see if u have any better luck there with finding some AZ guys, im sure there are handfuls in this forum. remember if u come across any problems, search first before posting a new thread.

If you can't find a decent 90-95 for your price take a look at the Avalon 2000 year model. That is the model style change year. Still a great car, and one step below the lexus.... Son has one, and loves it... I don't think you will get anything newer than a 96 or 97 in your range,, 05's are LS430 costing closer to $25k

Did someone say Arizona?? I might be from there

Check out craigslist, there's always a lot of them posted in the Phoenix area. I got both my LS400s using it.

For under 5K, you might have to stick with a 90-94 first gen. If you can go low 6 you *may* be able to find a 95.

Good Luck.

many of us veterans saw your post and didnt say anything because you broke the cardinal rule of forum-ing.

You didn't Search.

so Search and you will find the answer to the questions you have asked. www.lexls.com will give you insight into what LS generation you'd be looking at.

keep chillin. sometimes life gets busy and posts don't get responded to right away.

As PD suggests, Search and read. You'll find that 150K is nothing to be afraid of. However, with any car purchase, look under the hood and below the car. If it's too wet be concerned. Also be cautious of the engine had been detailed, they could be trying to hide leaks.

If the previous owner doesn't have repair receipts, take the time and spend about $80 to take it to a mechanic to have a pre-purchase inspection done on it. With an appointment - takes about an hour. Do you happen to listen to Mark Salem's "Under the Hood" talk show on KTAR Saturday mornings? If you do you'll know that he has a website with a link to recommended car repair shops, http://www.salemboysauto.com/home.html. You should be able to find one in the area nearby whichever car you go look at.

For those of you not in the metro-Phoenix area, you can listen to the "Under the Hood" show on-line Saturday mornings from 11:00am to noon MST (http://news.ktar.com/index.php?sid=281590&nid=60) - good stuff.

BTW, if you do go the craigslist route, I suggest sticking with the By Owner listings.

chill on...
