Default 99 LS w/HID's needs headlamp assy. replaced. Any options?

Driving on the highway e couple nights ago and hit a bird. The only damage was a small triangle popped out of the headlamp. No additional cracks just a perfect piece approx 2.5 inches long broken out of the headlamp. I've found replacements on eBay but they are all non HID. I'd rather not get State Farm involved and I don't want to spend $1200 on a headlamp!! Any help???

Keep looking on ebay, junk yards, etc. usually Ebay has a good number of them at any given point.

There a drivers side one as we speak on ebay. What ever you do, dont buy any after market headlamps.

Call State Farm ... now! Damage done by hitting an animal falls into a special category and will not be held against you. An animal is not considered to be road debris by State Farm.

I went through this a couple of years ago with State Farm after I hit a portion of a deer carcass laying on a dark interstate highway in the middle of nowhere. I think the deer had just been killed by a trucker who was pulled onto the shoulder inspecting the damage to the front of his truck.
