i just had my windows tinted and now the light that shows the little car with the brake lights glowing out of the back is on....when i shut my car off and restart it the light goes off until i hit the brake pedal, i checked all my lights and they are working fine, even the 3rd brake light....i know the guy sprayed water inside my car and down the back window, he even had my rear head rests off as well as the subwoofer cover.....any ideas would be greatly appreciated guys..thanks
Yup,, having the windows tinted should havenothing to do with a bulb being out. As 19PSI suggested, you may have 1 of the 2 bulbs burned out or misplaced, or not making god contact. Could have been jarred loose when they removed it to tint the window.
You can get to them while the windows are setting. Just pop the subwoofer cover up and pull backwards and that whole assemble will come with it. Won't bother the window at all.
One of my 3rd brake light is out but i cant pull that cover out. It seem to be really tight in there. I dont want to break any clips but what is the best way to get that cover out.
Take a flat head screw driver and CAREFULLY pry under the corners of the subwoofer cover. You will see where the clips are, running along the back side. Once you have one released, the rest come no problem. It is a reallly tight fit, so be careful. This will help you remove the cover,,,http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/light...stoplight.html
well i went to work yesterday, i had a guy change the bulbs for me, they were 912's, i handed him the wrong bulbs...i gave him 921's, the guy put them in anyways, the lights work but the anoying light is still on the dash....
i looked at it the harness, peeled back by the hinge and there is a little plactic box lookin piece that the wires run through, should i ohm test the wires or peel farther back?
has this issue been known to effect the way the car runs?
