after i changed the broken fuse in my 1990 ls400 the car wont start, it wont even crank. but when i take the fuse out it works just fine. the fuse controls the radio, alarm, steering wheel adjustment, taillights, and lights in the car. any suggestions?

Do you have an aftermarket alarm on your car?

im not sure... how can i tell? and everytime i unlock the doors with the keys, unplug and reconnect the battery, and unplug and plug back in the fuse the alarm goes off. the fuse is under the hood and is a 10 amp one.

When you say unlock the doors with the keys, is it a Lexus key with the button or do you have a separate control pad from the key that you use for keyless entry?

Where is the fuse located? Is it the one inside the black fuse holder located near the coolant reservoir?

Try and unlock your door with your key in the door this will disarm the alarm if this is the problem don't use the remote control been there and done it same problem had to put key in door to disarm the alarm system. Good luck..........
