Thanks, i have replaced all (non air) 4 struts and 4 springs(OEM) , ball joints on front and i am noticing a little hop in the rear and also i still have a very small vibration at all speeds. I have new goodyear assurance tires and 99 ls wheels balanced very very carefully. New tranny mount and all wheel bearings and control arms check out good. Does anyone have any ideas for me to check, i am aching for the smooth ride we deserve. I appreciate the help.

rebalance tires then:
-rear carrier arm bushings
-front strut rods
-rear strut rods
-front/rear control arm bushings
-front/rear upper balljoints

Thanks for the posts pure and ursus. I'll check those places and report back. Much appreciated. Is the rear hop common on these cars at 170K? I have just seen this with bad shocks. Someone whom i have talked to suggested the bushings at the bottom of the hub where the strut bar meets, is this bushing available separate or do you have to get the whole hub? And how would i properly describe this? thanks
