Default Suspension trouble

I am in a little trouble if i could get some advice i'd appreciate it. Thanks. I found 3 of the 4 coils springs on my 93 ls broken, so i bought all four complete shocks including springs and mounts from arnott industries. I get them all installed by a Lexus mechanic that i know personally well and i am hearing a creak noise from at least 2 of the corners. We brought it in and pushed some weight on to the front fenders and the noises were heard coming out of the strut mounts(both). I could not get my ears on the rears because they are behind the seats although i think i can hear at least one of them. So i called arnott and they said they have never had this complaint and are worried that it is coming from something else. Needless to say i wish i was happy because it puts me in a labor mess and time up on blocks too. Can i have some advice on what i should do or has anybody else experienced this? I have had upper control arms and ball joints went over and everything seemed fine up front and rears also. Does anybody have 3 springs for sale, i could just buy some other brand. What brand would i buy if i want a cushy ride? thanks Jlund

Sounds good thanks I'll try that . Do you suppose it (the noise) could be travelng that far and still sounding like its coming from the strut or mount? I hope it is , sure would like to keep the shocks. It sounds rather petty but the car sounds like a creaky old barn door with noises coming from each side and possibly the rears too. It doesn't really seem to be probable that 2 or more of these brand new assemblies are bad does it? Oh. BTW i finally found a lot of good stuff through the better search and i appreciate that too guys. Thanks

Yeah doesn't sound probable that the new assemblies are defective. My car used to creak as I drove it. With the windows down I could hear it as I drove! I sprayed bushings (sway bar) with WD40 and the noise was gone. I have since upgraded to poly's with greasse ports made by Energy. Since then I have no issues.

Tanabe makes drop springs that ride like OEM. Eibach and H&R are much more firm.

I have greased all of the bushings in 3 sessions. First i did the sway bar links and test drove no difference, then i greased the strut bar bushings and no difference. Then i greased the mounts and no difference. So i took out the old shock and strut assy's and looked at them and noticed that if i remember correctly the new ones did not have the rubber insulator between the coil springs and the mounts. I think i am going to return the arnott industries products for i hear the same noise coming from all 4 corners after todays diag session. The same exact creak upon movement, and coming from the very top points. What a pain in my shocks. thanks

Bummer - at least you ruled out the bushings They are easy to check, etc. Geez, if there are no rubber insulators between the upper strut mounts and the coil spring then it sounds like that is the culprit most likely. Can't believe they left the rubber insulator out though.
