hello, I am a newbie here.. I bought a used 1998 lexus ls400 last week. so far, I am loving it! one thing I want to upgrade is I want bigger wheels to replace those 16's stockies. I was looking at the 2005 lexus ls430 18in rims (five spokes) and tires size 245/45/18. does anyone know they fit my 98 ls400? I am thinking the tires 245/45/18 are too wide. can someone help me? thanks!

actually it will fit fine and is a somewhat popular swap.
yes 245/45-18 will fit fine as well.

You are correct, no rubbing at stock height. A set with tires usually goes for around a grand.

Do you have to use the 2005 LS430 lug nuts with those 18" wheels? Or the stock from your 16" will do?

The previous owner of my LS had the exact set up you are looking for, and I might be selling the wheels and tires fairly soon. They are the chrome finish. I'll try and dig up old pics of when he had them mounted before I bought the car.
