Default LS400 power steering help

So my cars been leaking the power steering fluid and yesterday I removed the cover at the bottom to see where exactly it was leaking from and found the line that runs right by the oil pan is busted so its causing the leak. Problem is I dont know the name of the part so I can go to the lexus dealer and get it so maybe someone here can help. I looked at a couple of online catalogs and Im thinking it may be the power steering pressue hose but id like to confirm first.

Power steering line is leaking on the left side of the oil pan and the line seems to be bolted on to the oil pan.

Thanks in advance.

They also have diagrams at the dealership in their computer system. You don't need the name of the part; just go there and point it out to the parts salesperson.

It would be really nice if there were an online source for these parts diagrams. That way, we could find the part numbers for the parts we need and then go to the Toyota dealer to get them for quite a bit less than at the Lexus dealer, or you could order online from your favorite source. I bought some parts recently from Lexus of Roseville for even less than the local Toyota dealer. Very fast service, too.

These are high pressure hoses and a few hundred dollars even at on-line sites like Park Place Lexus-Plano Texas.

Unless you see a crack or direct leak on these hoses I would look higher to the PS pump. The fluid chamber O-ring often leaks where it connect to the pump. You can order a P/S pump repair kit for 20-30 dollars. And there is a tutorial to do this on www.lexls.com.

Also the idle-up valve ( on the bottom/side of the pump ) with two small black hoses connected to it can leak.

Good luck
