Default 99 LS induction cleaning/idle messed up

Hello all,
Just got back from the Lexus dealer, and have a question. I had the de-carb service done on the air intake/throttle body (first time), along with the air filter and a oil change. The car used to idle at 500 rpm, and now it idles at 750, and in park, a hair under 1000 (when warmed up). Called them after driving home and they said it might need a little more time to dry out. True? It seems to run just fine, just not sure why the idle is so high ?? Is it nothing and will go away? They said they hook up a can of cleaner and let that run thru the throttle body while the car is running.

Just wanted to know what you guys thought, maybe I worry too much.

David

500rpm is kinda on the low side to be honest

Most of those who had very dirty induction system will tend to get high idling speed. After a while, everything will return to normal. The ECU will adjust itself to recognize the changes. Only worry about it if you're still having this symptom after a week.

that higher idle is caused by your baby being able to breath a bit better now =]

Same in my car. It was idling at 500 in gear and 700 or so in neutral. Was really low. Few month ago I cleaned out the throttle body with some spray and got rid of the Check Engine and VSC light that would come on from time to time.

RPM went up from what I was used to to 1200 in the morning, but it goes down to 800 or so once warm. It think its normal.
