Default New ignition wires and plugs...

The time has come to have the valve cover gaskets replaced on my 1997 Gen II with 109 k miles. While having this done, why not have the plugs and plug wires replaced at the same time considering the labor involved? They are the original plugs and wires, I'm almost sure.

I've searched the stickies but can't seem to find anything about the plug wires; can anyone help me locate such info? I read somewhere that there is a wire that is superior to OEM but cannot recall its name. Can anyone help?

For plugs, I think NGK or Denso Iridiums would be a very good choice. Does anyone disagree, and if so, why? Any different suggestions would be welcome. Is there anything else relating to the ignition system that should be attended to at the same time?

Many thanks in advance.
