VSC light came and went
Does one appearance of the "VSC off" warning light mean anything? I used the console power outlet in my 98 LS to run a 12v tire inflator and blew the fuse. I opened the underhood fuse box (I know-wrong place to look) and prodded around. Later that day when I start up the car I get the "VSC Off" and the warning message and little red light for the duration of a 30 minute drive and the return trip home. So I open up the underhood fuse box and press everything down just in case I jostled something, and the warning light/message are off and stay off. So no problem, at least for now. But I see from searching this board that the VSC light can serve as a harbinger for the grim reaper visiting my battery (which is of unknown age, but pretty scuzzy looking). If the battery is dying will the light remain on, or should I take the one warning as an omen?

Attached is the VSC reset procedure from my 00 LS owners manual that I have sometimes had to use after installing a new battery. The "Check VSC" warning and the engine dying while rounding a corner or after hitting a bump at low speed have occurred only when my battery has begun to fail.
